Different angles on recycling

WE’VE had the importance of recycling dinned into us, and the results in the past few years have been fantastic. The Happy Moonraker was impressed to learn that other moonrakers have become so good at recycling that the amount of rubbish going into landfill across Wiltshire has been reduced by something like 60%.

Whether we are solemnly separating paper from cardboard, and plastic from cans and glass, most of us are pretty good at it these days. Mind you, it can be somewhat confusing if you spend time in a different area because the recycling rules can be radically different from those at home.

Surely they don’t mean I have to put glass in with plastic in that part of the country? Oh, yes they do. The whole business becomes like one of those brain tests you are supposed to do to delay the onset of dementia.
